Do you feel alone, stuck or overwhelmed in your experience of Grief?
Or maybe you are feeling ‘secondary symptoms’ like irritability, depression, or anxiety?
Have you had major (or minor) life transition that you haven’t quite processed?
Are you overwhelmed by the global crises and systemic harms?
Do you want a more harmonious relationship with Grief (even if you’re a little afraid of it?)
If so, this practice is for you.
This is a gentle, beginner-appropriate space for all the things that tend to get unattended and backlogged in our physical, energetic and collective body.
Rooted in sensory pleasure, nourishment, movement, artistic expression, and direct sensing with the land and natural elements, we will practice making room the often dis-located spirits and beings such as Grief, Rage, Anger, Sadness, and Hopelessness, while also practicing remaining connected to Neutrality, Gratitude, Pleasure and Joy and the guiding elemental spirits of the Autumn season.
At the Sanctuary Northwest, we consider Grief Ritual a kind of cultural and energetic “hygiene” practice. These typically take place twice a year, once virtually and once in person.
